Hey, here.

Thanks for checking out my blog, I am 48 years old and I live in with my 2 Lovely children. I pride myself in providing visitors and readers with a completely unbiased and honest Brainetics review based on my experiences. You’ve come to the right place if your looking for a comprehensive Brainetics Review for the product created by Mike Byster.

For some younger learners, maths is not their strongest subject and for a teacher or a parent to try and encourage their students to enjoy maths is to show them that it can be easy and even fun. Although it sounds logical, it’s not as simple, you can’t just tell someone maths is easy and make them like it as I previously have been trying hard to get my 2 lovely children to be better at Maths which required more interest in the subject.

But a mathematics learning system was created by Mike Byster, for younger children who have the basic knowledge of multiplication and division. It’s called Brainetics which includes 5 dvds, workbooks, and flash cards focusing on the brain with memory and critical thinking skills that will not only make math easier and more fun. It also increases memory skills outside of math and encourage the students to increase their knowledge and skills in math.

Mike Byster started off as a stockbroker. Now he is a “math magician”. He spends his free time giving speeches at schools on “Mathematical thinking”. Since he has been given the opportunity to share his method of math, he has dedicated his time to teaching students in middle school and high school, even his own son. Mike Byster created the product as a franchise to broaden his skills as a arithmetician to those who want the encouragement and help in the math area of their studies.

There has been many skeptics who debate on whether or not it’s a scam. Some of the reasoning behind the idea of a scam is because the workbooks and flash cards have been around for a long time. Most people are very familiar with flash card training for learning and most do not want to pay the cost of $149.99 for the product. It’s also been said in studies that the dropout rate, amongst Brainetics users has dropped. But so has the preparation of the graduates for the workforce.

This leads consumers to think that it teaches false learning methods and disables them to think outside of the box, which may hinder their relations and creativity in the future.
Although it may be seen as a scam, most articles do not prove anything because I have searched everywhere before I purchased. I buy and compare them and in the process find it’s a bit expensive I admit. I have recently found a more cheaper alternative which works just as great!

The most that can be proved is that this math exercise, created by Mike Byster, does increase the skill level of students in the math studies. Whether or not it is worth the money you spend is questionable and may be up to the student and their ability to learn and their desire to learn.

I work 2 jobs to keep food on the table for my children and all I want is for them to be better at Math so they can grow up to be a Dr, Lawyer or engineer. Any field that will provide a good professional job instead of growing up wanting to be a celebrity, music artist or actor which is nothing wrong but these days TV has brainwashed kids into a dream state. I don’t want that for my kids. I still allow them to play games and watch TV but limited and I’m so thankful I made the decision to get the product as it did most of the work of sparking their won interest in Math. Their grades have improved and I would say their confidence has too. A little too much perhaps seeing they always want to keep challenging me so I think I will just test them on it which is good enough for me. You actually do learn a lot when you go through it with them and test them. This really is a must for the parent to get involved from my experience.

I do not recommend it if your child does not know how to do any basic multiplications as they will find it hard. I would say that it’s more important than age or grade level as some learn faster than other children. It is best to wait or teach them basic maths skills first to save the frustration.

I have since noticed the cheaper program I got is about the same and I would now have to say it’s what i would recommend as it does the same as Brainetics however much more affordable. The value you get is so much more too and you can receive it instantly. If you have the extra money to splash then that’s fine, but in hindsight I think it was a bit hyped up and marked up too much from the Info TV ads.

I hope this review has helped you make a decision because I was on the fence before I purchased and now I hope to help others in my place to be more informed and confident in their investment with their child’s education and future.
